Storeroom Supervisor - New World Gore

Position: Storeroom Supervisor

Location: New World Gore Job Type: Full Time – Sunday to Thursday.

Reports to: Dry Goods Manager, Owners

New World Gore is seeking an experienced Storeroom Supervisor to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring efficient stock management, maintaining an organised inwards goods area and providing high quality products for our customers. If you have a keen eye for detail, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have excellent time management skills, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage stock deliveries, checking packing slips and accurately input data for receipting.
• Liaise with department managers to verify stock deliveries.
• Work with internal and external suppliers to resolve stock discrepancies, including shortfalls and damages.
• Ensure correct storeroom stock rotation and regularly check product dates.
• Maintain a tidy, organised storeroom to minimise handling, reduce damages, and improve efficiency.
• Provide excellent customer service by staying informed about products, promotions, and store policies.
• Adhere to Food Safety and Health & Safety standards.
• Follow store policies on loss prevention and security, reporting any suspicious activity.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and support new and existing staff members.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong customer focus with a commitment to excellent service.
• High level of initiative, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Previous experience in a grocery or warehousing environment.
• Forklift licence.
• SAP knowledge.
• First Aid Certificate
