We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Store Manager to join our team.

Based in the heart of Whanganui, this role will see you working closely with the Owner Operator to deliver a shopping experience that’s second to none. You’ll lead a passionate, tight-knit team, helping to mentor and develop them while ensuring the store runs smoothly day to day.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll truly make your mark – balancing people leadership, commercial performance, and community connection.

The Role

• Plan, lead, communicate, organize, and control the day-to-day running of the store
• Coach, mentor, and develop the team, including building capability in Duty Managers
• Deliver outstanding customer service and lead from the front on the shop floor
• Ensure all departments are well stocked, merchandised, and presented to a high standard
• Create a consistently fresh, easy, and enjoyable shopping experience
• Support the delivery of strong financial performance including sales, wastage, and budgets
• Build strong connections within the local community

What we’re looking for

• Previous leadership experience (Store Manager or Senior Department Manager level)
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams
• A hands-on, can-do attitude with a passion for customer service
• Strong organizational and commercial skills
• Ability to work across multiple departments
• LCQ/ Managers certificate preferred
