Store Manager - PAK'n SAVE Hastings

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to work in our store alongside our current Finance Manager. PAK’nSAVE Hastings is a large scale business that has a proven track record for promoting and developing our people to reach their full potential and achieve their goals.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will be required to spend time in different departments around the store to understand the team, buying, volumes and the idiosyncrasies of our store. We are looking for someone who can ensure operational delivery standards and sales, and ensure productivity and growth targets are met or exceeded. You will ensure costs, including wage costs, are controlled appropriately. You will be required to ensure ordering from all departments is controlled and that the range matches the format and customer requirements. This role will also involve enhancing the image of the store through ensuring each department implements the highest possible standards of display and presentation of stock. You will ensure 100% price integrity is maintained in the departments.
This position would suit someone who has the ambition of entering the trainee operator programme in the next 2 – 4 years. You would be looking to step up to the task of running a large team, sharing your knowledge and ideas, whilst adding to the existing culture here in our store. We offer a negotiable salary of $100,000+ for the right applicant.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL:
- Have previous retail experience in a FMCG industry
- Have management experience across multiple dry and fresh departments in stores
- Be flexible and driven with a strong work ethic
- Have financial and commercial acumen to a high level
- Have proven financial results in fresh and dry departments
- Have proven leadership ability in leading and directing teams effectively
