Service Deli Cook - Four Square Queenstown
About the role
Our Deli Cook supports the Service Deli Manager in delivering high-quality, fresh, and diverse products that contribute to the department's profitability. This role involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, maintaining a clean and well-organized kitchen, and following established recipes and culinary guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, customer orders, and culinary standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations.
- Inspect food quality and ensure it meets standards.
- Predict food sales for the day and estimate quantity and range of products that need to be prepared and cooked.
- Handle customer inquiries and requests in a professional manner.
Hours and renumeration
Full-time, 35-40 hours per week. Specific days and hours to be discussed at the interview stage.
Renumeration is based on experience, within the Queenstown market rate for this position: $28 to $32 per hour.
About you
- 3-5 years’ experience in a café, deli, or cook role
- Demonstrated knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and food safety
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- NZ Food Hygiene Qualifications (NZQA Unit Standards 167 and 168)
