Retail Assistant - New World Wigram

We're looking for a reliable, motivated and hands-on team member to join our team in a varied role supporting our storeroom and day-to-day store operations.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in getting the job done and is comfortable taking responsibility. You'll be involved in everything from stock handling and load splitting to supporting the wider retail team and ensuring our Retail departments run smoothly.

Previous experience is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided to the right person, including opportunities to develop skills in forklift operation, stock management and team supervision.

Hours of Work

This is a permanent part-time position working the following roster (flexible for the right candidate):

• Monday: 6:30am – 12:00pm
• Friday: 6:30am – 3:00pm
• Saturday: 6:30am – 3:00pm

There will also be opportunities to pick up additional shifts when available.

What You'll Be Doing

• Splitting and organising incoming supplier loads in the storeroom
• Handling stock deliveries and ensuring stock is distributed efficiently throughout the store
• Operating a forklift (training provided if required)
• Supporting and supervising retail team members with daily tasks and priorities
• Filling shelves and maintaining high merchandising standards
• Assisting with general store operations and customer service when required
• Following all food safety and health & safety procedures
