Produce Manager - PAK'n SAVE Hastings

Key responsibilities of this role:

  • To manage the day to day operation of the Department by ensuring the quality, supply and presentation of product meets customer requirements.

  • Managing a team of approximately 10 staff, planning rosters and communicating effectively to ensure a high level of staff performance and customer service.

  • Achieving maximum sales by planning and managing promotion schedules.  The ability to manage a profitable department is an essential part of the role.

  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure adequate product range.

  • The ability to set clear objectives for the department and get the team on board to work together to successfully achieve these goals.

    Preferred qualification/s:

  • Management/Business/Retail Qualification

  • Unit standards 167 and 168

Key skills:

  • Confident, assertive leadership skills with a proven ability leading high functioning successful teams.

  • Excellent communication skills with confidence addressing any issues as they arise. 

  • A strong focus on staff training and adhering to Compliance (food safety/health and safety)

  • A hands on approach to all duties – leading by example to maintain high standards.

  • A passion for providing excellence in customer service at all times.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn to use in store systems.

  • SAP experience preferred but not essential.

  • Fluent in English with a high level of literacy and numeracy skills.
