Produce Manager - Motueka New World

We are seeking a skilled leader with a passion for retail to lead our Produce team. You will be adaptable and relish the challenges of a fast-moving and dynamic environment, while being capable of delivering operational excellence within a team and achieving department targets & goals.

Key aspects of this role are maintaining fresh and visually appealing product displays, supporting the store Produce team to deliver a high-level customer experience, and achieving financial performance through efficient rostering, pricing, and inventory management practices.

Key responsibilities of the position include:

• Overseeing the day to day operation of the Produce Department
• Maintaining high presentation standards
• Inventory management- ordering, stocktakes and pricing
• Staff training and development
• Meeting company financial objectives
• Ensuring a high level of customer service is provided by the team
• Compliance with our Food Control Plan and Health & Safety requirements

The successful applicant will ideally have:

• Previous supermarket experience and a proven ability to manage a team
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships
• High level stock presentation standards
• Experience with managing perishable products
• A customer and results focus
