Produce Assistants – New World Wigram
Permanent Part-time
At New World Wigram, we take pride in delivering a fresh, vibrant Produce department for our customers every day. We’re looking for motivated and reliable team players who enjoy working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment to join our Produce team.
About the Role, as a Produce Assistant you will:
- Provide excellent customer service
- Unload deliveries and handle fresh produce
- Merchandise fruit and vegetable displays
- Follow Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures
- Help keep the department clean, organised and well stocked
We have 2 part-time roles. Days & Hours are as below:
Role 1
- Sunday: 12pm – 6pm
- Monday: 8am – 4pm
Role 2
- Sunday: 8am – 2pm
- Monday: 4pm – 8pm
Personal attributes we are looking for:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work well with a team
- Physical fitness for lifting heavy crates of up to 20kg on a daily basis
- Ability to multi-task and also complete tasks within the required timeframes
- Motivation to be trained in others aspects of the department
- A positive work ethic and attitude
These roles may suit students or applicants seeking consistent part-time work. With opportunity to pickup extra shift during busy period or covering leave for other team members.
