Produce Assistant - Part-Time

We’re Hiring a Produce Assistant at New World Bishopdale!

Do you enjoy working with fresh food, keeping things looking great, and helping customers find the best produce? Do you take pride in a well-stocked, fresh and inviting department? Then we’d love to hear from you!

We’re on the lookout for a Produce Assistant to join our hardworking and friendly team. This is a Friday role, 9:00am–5:00pm (8 hours), with the opportunity to become part of a supportive team that takes pride in providing quality fresh produce to our customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Produce Preparation & Stocking – Receive, unpack, rotate and replenish fresh fruit and vegetables, ensuring stock is fresh and available for customers.
• Department Presentation – Keep displays full, tidy and visually appealing throughout the day.
• Quality Control – Check produce for freshness and quality, removing any damaged or unsuitable items.
• Customer Service – Serve customers with a smile, answer questions and help them find what they need.
• Food Safety & Cleanliness – Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safe food handling.
• Teamwork – Work alongside the wider supermarket team, pitching in wherever needed to keep the department running smoothly.

About You

• You have a positive attitude and take pride in doing things properly.
• You’re reliable, honest and have a strong work ethic.
• You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• You’re comfortable working on your feet and handling fresh produce.
• You have good attention to detail and care about presentation.
• Previous supermarket or produce experience is a bonus, but full training can be provided.
• You’re a team player who’s happy to help wherever needed.
