PRODUCE ASSISTANT MANAGER

New World Lincoln is on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Produce Assistant Manager to be a big part of our vibrant produce department. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll be responsible for maintaining top-quality standards, assisting with managing inventory and procurement, and guiding a dedicated team to deliver a stand out department, keeping our shelves looking fresh and inviting. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone in a current leadership role looking to take on a new challenge in a large-scale supermarket in a supportive and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Produce Manager in the daily operations of the Produce Department
  • Ensure high standards of product quality, freshness, and presentation
  • Assisting in ordering, rotation, and waste reduction
  • Train, support, and motivate produce staff
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
  • Managing the department in the absence of the Manager

  • Fresh Produce experience 
  • Strong leadership and team motivation skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • A keen eye for quality and a passion for fresh food
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices

Working Hours

This is a full-time role, early morning starts, 5 days a week, including one weekend day, with some flexibility depending on business needs.
