Grocery Manager

We are seeking a person who can manage our Grocery Department. This is a full-time vacancy with weekend and evening work. We envisage the successful candidate will also be Duty Manager for the store on some evenings!

You will be a part of an enthusiastic and motivated team.  We are a store that values initiative and trying new things.  Our goal is “Provide our customers with a stand out shopping experience that is so good people go out of their way to choose us” You will be part of our frontline team who are the face of our business. 

The successful applicant will need to have knowledge and experience of FMCG and the grocery industry, having worked in a supermarket environment in management roles and able to demonstrate the following attributes:

• Developed Organization skills
• Effectively communicate at all levels
• Attention to detail
• Be a problem solver
• Dedication to customer service
• Good computer skills – ability to pick up programs with ease
• Knowledge of SAP
• Passionate about a career in the Grocery Industry

In this role you be directly reporting to the Dry Goods Manager and Owner

Key responsibilities include:

• Management and delegation of staff
• Managing the daily ordering of stock using SAP system
• Negotiating promotional activity. 
• Ability to achieve targets and meet profitability budgets.
• Maintaining a high standard of merchandising.
• Maintaining of our Health & Safety and Food Safety standards
