Grocery Assistant - New World Mosgiel
We are looking for a reliable and responsible team member that can work efficiently with excellent customer services skills who is keen to join our team as a Grocery Assistant.
You will be working with a committed and motivated team who prides themselves on the quality produce and excellent service we offer our customers here at New World Mosgiel.
Hours of work:
Monday 7:00am – 3:30pm
Tuesday 7:00am – 3:30pm
Wednesday 7:00am – 3:30pm
Thursday 7:00am – 3:30pm
Sunday 8:30am – 5:00pm
40 hours per week total
Your main duties will include:
- Providing excellent customer service and assisting with customer enquiries
- Shelf filling
- Ensuring shelves and displays meet required presentation standards
- Date checking and stock rotation
- Assist with all other duties that form part of the Grocery department
- Cleaning
- Maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety standards at all times

- Be able to work unsupervised

- High presentation standards and good attention to detail
- Be reliable
- Have a good work ethic
- Enjoy being busy and able to work well under pressure
- Be able to work at least one weekend day
- Flexibility to work extra shifts when required
- Work well in a team environment
- Physically fit as there is repetitive heavy lifting involved

Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not necessary as full training will be given for the right candidate.
