GROCERY ASSISTANT MANAGER

New World Lincoln is looking for a motivated and capable Grocery Assistant Manager to support the Grocery Manager in the day-to-day operations of our busy Grocery Department. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll help drive team performance, maintain high merchandising standards, and ensure our customers enjoy a top-quality shopping experience every time.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the daily operations of the Grocery Department
• Working closely alongside the team to ensure smooth and efficient workflows
• Help manage stock ordering, promotional planning, and inventory control
• Maintain high standards in merchandising, presentation, and product availability
• Assist with rostering and staff scheduling
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and team members
• Participate in stocktakes and reporting using in-store systems
• Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge

About You

• Previous experience in a supermarket or FMCG environment
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Confident communicator with a positive, team-focused attitude
• Comfortable using computer systems and learning new programs
• Able to work a mixture of shifts including one weekend day
• Calm under pressure and solutions-focused
• Leadership experience 
• Forklift licence and First Aid certificate a bonus
• Experience with SAP or similar systems

This is a full-time role, with hours including early mornings, evenings, and one weekend day. Days and hours will be discussed at interview.
