Duty Manager/Team Leader


 

We're looking for a motivated and confident Duty Manager to join our team at New World Brookfield.

This is a hands-on leadership role that will suit someone who enjoys leading from the front, supporting their team, and delivering an exceptional experience for our customers every day.

This is a full-time position (40 Hours) and includes one weekend day.
The successful applicant must be available to work a range of shifts, including opening shifts from 5:00am and closing shifts finishing as late as 9:00pm.

About the Role

As a Duty Manager you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the store, ensuring high standards of customer service, presentation, safety, and team performance are maintained.

 

This is a working management role, with responsibilities including:

  • Leading and supporting team members across the store
  • Supervising daily store operations
  • Identifying and replenishing stock as required
  • Maintaining high merchandising and presentation standards
  • Ensuring a safe and productive working environment
  • Supporting team training and development
  • Assisting customers and resolving issues professionally
  • Supporting the Grocery Manager and Other Department Managers
  • Ensuring departments are operating efficiently and meeting expectations

About You

We're looking for someone who:
  • Has previous supermarket, retail, or supervisory experience
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills
  • Leads by example and takes ownership of their work
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Has excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Is physically fit and capable of working across departments
  • Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Holds a current Duty Manager's Licence, or is willing to obtain one
