Duty Manager - Foursquare Wakefield

About us: we are a small, passionate team with big heart dedicated to providing the best possible shopping experience to our customers. It is a privilege to operate the local grocery store in this fabulous semi-rural community. Wakefield is a 20-minute drive from Richmond, which is the main town centre in the Nelson region.

What we are looking for: due to some exciting movement within our current team, we have two upcoming vacancies for both part time and full-time hours. We are seeking great leaders & team players who thrive on a fast-paced environment. The work is both varied and dynamic.

About the role: main responsibilities would include the following…

Customer service & satisfaction

Be physically able for heavy lifting and moving on feet for full shifts

Supervising the sale of alcohol, tobacco & lotto

Maintaining shop appearance and replenishment across all departments

Undertake necessary administrative functions of the role

Maintain Health & Safety and Food Safety standards

What you’ll bring:

A positive attitude, good humour and willingness to learn

LCQ qualification and current Duty Manager Certificate

Proven experience in a supermarket environment.

Strong organisational and leadership skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

A strong work ethic and the ability to cope well under pressure

Problem-solving skills, ability to work quickly and attention to detail.

Hours: Specific hours of this role will be discussed at the interview stage, it does require one weekend shift and closing the store. Flexibility with shifts essential.
