Duty Manager/Dry Goods Supervisor - NEW WORLD Wigram
We are seeking a Duty Manager/Dry Goods Supervisor to join our Leadership Team. This position requires previous supermarket experience along with the capability to handle additional responsibilities.
This is a joint role with 20 hours being allocated for Duty Manager and another 20 for Dry Goods Supervision. This will have three closing shifts (10pm) and two day shifts.
The Duty Manager role is a varied one and involves three nights a week looking after the full shop operations in their entirety, working alongside other senior team members and carrying out hands on work with all team members while following company procedures.
The Dry Goods Supervisor is a very hands on role and involves heavy lifting and requires working across all of the Retail departments Grocery, Liquor, Chilled and Frozen moving stock and ensuring high levels of presentation and shelf stock is achieved. This position requires previous supermarket experience along with the capability to handle additional responsibilities.
The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate that they can operate under pressure during busy periods, are able to communicate effectively and display the ability to adapt under prevailing circumstances.

A current General Managers Liquor License is an essential requirement for this position.
The responsibilities of the position include:
- Delivering excellent Customer Service
- Supervising the sale of restricted age items such as alcohol, tobacco and lotto
- Forklift Operation Supervising other staff
- Following the correct Food Safety and Health and Safety policies
- Closing the store (10pm)
- Flexibility to work additional days and hours to help with cover as required

The days and hours are:
Tuesday: 9.30am – 6pm
Wednesday: 1.30pm – 10pm
Thursday: 9.30am – 6pm
Friday: 1.30pm – 10pm
Saturday:1.30pm – 10pm
