Dry Goods Supervisor

DRY GOODS SUPERVISOR
This full-time position is a great opportunity for an experienced team leader or supervisor who excels at organising, motivating people and has great attention to detail. Reporting to the Dry Goods and Operations Managers, the Supervisor is responsible for the combined control of our team to ensure all orders are accurately received into store and our shelves are filled and merchandised to prescribed standards.
The successful candidate will:
- Be required to hold or obtain a valid Forklift License and First Aid Certificate
- Have previous experience supervising and/or leading staff
- Be physically fit and able to repeatedly lift heavy items (up to 15kg)
- Be available to work:
Monday - 1:30pm – 11:00pm
Tuesday - 1:30pm – 11:00pm
Wednesday - OFF
Thursday - OFF
Friday - 1:30pm – 11:00pm
Saturday - 1:30pm – 11:00pm
Sunday - 2:30pm – 12:00am (midnight)
Key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Effectively supervising a diverse team to achieve retail merchandising standards, including overseeing staff training and development
- Communicating with people across multiple levels of the business to ensure efficient operations and stock movements
- Coordinating inwards goods, storeroom, retail filling and fuel site processes
- Unloading freight and receipting orders into the business
- Moving stock throughout the business including using forklifts and manual handling work
- Providing outstanding customer service
- Complying with and actively promoting food safety and health and safety procedures throughout the supermarket

Applicants must hold New Zealand citizenship, Permanent Residency or NZ Work Permit valid for more than 6 months.
