Are you a sharp negotiator with retail experience — or someone looking to kickstart a buying career?

PAK'nSAVE Hornby is on the lookout for two talented individuals to join our Dry Goods team:

• Dry Goods Buyer – for experienced buyers ready to take ownership of categories and drive results.
• Assistant Dry Goods Buyer – a developmental role designed as a pathway into buying.

Both roles play a key part in delivering value, availability, and great products across our Grocery, Dairy, Liquor, and Frozen categories. Days and hours will be discussed at the time of the interview.

About the Roles

Dry Goods Buyer

Take the lead in sourcing, buying, and managing stock. You’ll negotiate with suppliers, plan promotions, analyse sales, and ensure customers always find the products they love on our shelves.

What you’ll bring:

• 3+ years’ experience in supermarket buying, category management, or retail leadership.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial skills.
• Confidence with systems (SAP preferred) and spreadsheets.
• A results-driven mindset with excellent communication skills.

Assistant Dry Goods Buyer

Support our buyers while learning the ropes of category management. This role is all about accuracy, admin support, and building the foundations for a buying career.

What you’ll bring:

• 1–2 years’ retail or supermarket experience (preferred, but not essential).
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and Excel know-how.
• A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Great teamwork and communication skills.
