We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to join our friendly and hardworking Deli team. We’re a practical, hands on team where everyone helps out, takes responsibility for their work, and looks after the details. No task is too small, and we all take pride in doing the basics well – whether that’s helping customers, prepping food, or keeping the cabinet looking its best.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Second in Command - Work shoulder to shoulder with our Deli Manager to help lead the team, keep the department humming and maintain our high standards in every roast, salad and meal.
• Hands-On Food Prep - From cooking and prepping, to helping customers and keeping the cabinets full and beautiful, you’ll be right in the thick of it. Leadership here means rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in.
• Attention to Detail - Whether it’s perfect presentation, consistent portioning or a spotless workspace, we take pride in the little things - and we do them properly.
• Stock, Orders & Displays - Keep an eye on stock levels, help with ordering and make sure our cabinets always look fresh, full and tempting.
• Training and Development - Help to grow our team by coaching, training and developing others on the job. 
• Ideas Welcome - Food to go and grab and go are our specialties, customers love something new to try. 

Hours: 

• Days of work will be between Tuesday to Saturday.  6:00am – 3:30pm

About You: 

• Natural Leader - You’re steady, reliable and not afraid to get amongst it. You can communicate and lead our team to success.
• Experienced in Service Deli or Food Prep - You know your way around a commercial kitchen or deli environment and you’re confident with food safety and quality.
• Team Player - We help each other out, keep the pace up and enjoy the day while we’re at it.
• Detail-Driven - You notice when the cabinet needs a refresh or the chicken needs a few more minutes. That’s the kind of pride we love.
• Reliable, Honest & Ready to Roll - We work hard, have fun and take real pride in what we put out. If that sounds like you, you’ll fit right in.
• Flexibility to help out when we might need it, and to step up when the Manager is away.
