Cooks

We are looking for 4 Cooking superstars to join our team. We have just completed a major store renovation and are looking for new team members to join our expanding business. We are located in beautiful Queenstown at 1/12 Hawthorne Drive, Remarkables Park, Queenstown, 9300. 

Pay rate range for these positions is $29.66-$30.00per hour.

These are permanent roles that are a minimum 30 hours per week. All roles are working during weekends with different middle of the week days off. Start time of 2am-4am and rosters are fixed. These roles relates to ANZSCO 322331 Cooks code.

Team members must have:

• AQF Qualification 111 including at least 2 years on the job training or 3 years Cooking Work Experience
• Must be skilled to Prepare, season and cook food in a fast moving Delicatessen and catering environment
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to learn
• Work well in a team

About the role - key tasks, duties and responsibilities:

• Inspects and selects ingredients for cooking
• Measures, cleans, chops, blends, seasons, heats and cools food
• Monitors food cooking processes to ensure proper cooking and presentation
• Coordinates, supervises and collaborates with kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking
• Cleans and maintains kitchen equipment and utensils
• Monitors and maintains inventory of food supplies and equipment communicating to the management team
• Assists in the development of new recipes and menu items
