Checkouts Supervisor
We are seeking a positive, engaging and driven individual to join our customer focused checkout team. Our supervisors play a vital role in being the face of New World Centre City, delivering outstanding customer experiences. You will succeed in this role if you have a passion for delivering great customer service and are ready to take on responsibility.
About the role
As checkout Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role as the face of New World Centre City. You’ll deliver on New World’s competitive advantage –excellent customer experience. You’ll lead by example, motivate and inspire our frontline team across Checkout, Customer Services, Lotto and Café. You’ll also serve as a Duty Manager, ensuring regulatory compliance in the sale of liquor and restricted goods.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, motivate and train the Customer Services team to deliver on great customer service.
- Organise daily operations, including staff scheduling and resource allocation.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, particularly in the sale of restricted goods.
Hours
This is a Full-time role. Specific hours will be discussed at the interview stage. New World Centre City operates from 07:30am – 10:00pm, 7 days a week. The shift pattern will include a weekend day and evening shifts.
About you:
- 2+ years’ experience in a Customer Services role, ideally with Supervision or Management experience.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence teams.
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating positive customer experiences.
- Liquor Controllers Qualification (LCQ) and Duty Managers Licence (DM), or willingness to acquire.
- Commitment to personal and professional growth.
