About the Role:

We’re offering a full-time position for a dedicated Checkout Supervisor to join our team. This role is ideal for experienced professionals looking to apply their expertise in a leadership position, as well as motivated individuals eager to develop their management skills.

You’ll play an integral part of our customer focused team, leading and inspiring our frontline staff across Checkout, Customer Services, Lotto and Café. As a key member of our team, you’ll also serve as a Duty Manager, ensuring regulatory compliance in the sale of restricted goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the Customer Services team to deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Oversee daily operations, including staff scheduling and resource allocation
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, particularly in alcohol sales
  • Implement and maintain high standards of customer service
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints effectively
  • Manage cash handling and till operations
  • Support loss prevention measures
  • Provide training, coaching and mentoring to team members
  • Drive operational efficiency and process improvements
  • Maintain and clean, tidy and welcoming checkout area.

Requirements:

  • Valid LCQ and manager’s certificate (or ability to obtain)
  • Exceptional personal presentation and customer service ability
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating positive customer experiences
