We’re looking for a confident and customer‑focused Checkout Supervisor to support the Checkout Manager in the daily operation of our busy Front End. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll help deliver outstanding service and bring our Brand Promise of “SWEET AS” to life.
You’ll thrive in a fast‑paced environment, enjoy leading a large team, and take pride in making sure every customer leaves with a great experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service at all times
- Supervise and support a large checkout team
- Close the checkout department in the evenings
- Ensure checkout procedures are followed correctly and consistently
- Monitor checkout security and customer flow
- Manage queues and ensure the right number of checkouts are open
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well‑presented checkout area
- Follow Sales of Liquor, Health & Safety, and Food Safety policies
- Train, coach, and support new team members
What we’re looking for:
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and committed with a strong work ethic
- Confident communicator who can think on their feet
- A team player who leads by example
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience (supermarket experience preferred but not essential)
