The Role

As Checkout Manager, you will lead a team of dedicated checkout operators and supervisors to ensure smooth and efficient service. This is a hands-on role that combines leadership, problem-solving, and a customer-first approach.

This is a Full-time position with some weekend, opening and closing shifts included.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the checkout team to provide exceptional customer service.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the checkout department, including scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
• Maintain, implement and improve processes where necessary.
• Maintain checkout accuracy and efficiency, ensuring minimal wait times for customers.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
• Monitor and manage cash handling procedures and end-of-day reconciliations.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying areas for efficiency and service enhancements.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven leadership experience in a retail or customer service environment.
• People person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong emotional intelligence and conflict resolution skills
• A commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities and think on your feet
• Knowledge of checkout operations and cash handling procedures (preferred).
• General Managers certificate
• Previous experience with Lotto desirable
