Checkout Manager - New World Kaikoura

Are you passionate about customer service? Do you have awesome managerial experience? Can you support and inspire a busy team and have excellent communication skills?

We are seeking a Checkout Manager extraordinaire!

The role will involve the following:

  • Managing, organising and supporting our checkout team
  • Admin tasks such as timesheets and rosters
  • Customer services including Lotto, checkout operating, packing and supervising
  • Overseeing the successful operations of our checkout team

Please note: Our busiest times are long weekends/public holidays, summer holidays and our team members are required to work through these periods. 

The person we are looking for will have the following attributes:

  • Have a passion for giving excellent customer service and going the extra mile for our customers
  • Be able to ‘lead from the front’ and set high standards for the team
  • Be able to work well in a team and also be self-managing 
  • Must be able to show initiative, be honest and reliable
  • Must have a positive outlook and a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Have great problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • You must also be physically fit as it involves being on your feet all day
  • A liquor duty manager certificate is preferable 

This role is 40 hours per week and involves working one day in the weekend.
