Buyer Opportunity – PAK’nSAVE Blenheim

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional products and value to customers?

PAK’nSAVE Blenheim is seeking an experienced Buyer to join our team and help us provide an outstanding range of products at competitive prices.

About the Role:

As a Buyer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our shelves are stocked with the right products at the right time. You’ll manage supplier relationships, negotiate deals, and maintain accurate systems to keep our store running smoothly. Your efforts will directly impact customer satisfaction and the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic:

  • Deliver effective stock management processes
  • Achieve financial performance targets

Operational:

  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best product prices
  • Work with reps and merchandisers on deals and promotions
  • Ensure new products are accurately loaded into the system
  • Organise and assist with weekly displays
  • Collaborate with department managers to meet customer needs
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Stay up to date with product knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety standards

Cultural:

  • Adhere to store policies and loss prevention procedures
  • Promote a strong safety culture
  • Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Commit to personal development and wellbeing

What We’re Looking For

  • An NZQF level 3 qualification or 5 years relevant work experience
  • Sound SAP experience – understanding of SAP processes is a significant advantage
  • Proven decision – making abilities with exceptional organisational, presentation and planning skills
  • Strong IT skills – confident with systems and data
  • Solid knowledge of the grocery and food industry
  • Positive attitude and collaborative approach
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset

What we offer:

  • A permanent full-time role, reporting to the Store Manager. 
  • Remuneration between $30 - $35 per hour with a minimum of 40 hours per week. 
  • Specific hours will be discussed at interview - you will need to be available to work in weekends. 
  • We are an Immigration Accredited employer
