BUTCHERY APPRENTICE

Turn your interest in butchery into a rewarding, hands-on career!

We're looking for a motivated apprentice to join our Butchery team and work towards the New Zealand Certificate in Trade Butchery (Level 4). You'll earn while you learn, gaining practical experience, trade skills and a nationally recognised qualification while being mentored by butchers with over 80 years of combined industry experience.

What you'll be doing:

• Preparing, trimming and presenting a range of meat products
• Traying, packing and labelling products for sale
• Maintaining attractive, well-stocked displays
• Rotating stock and checking product quality
• Providing friendly and professional customer service
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
• Learning the skills and techniques required to become a qualified butcher

What we're looking for:

• A genuine interest in butchery and learning a trade
• Reliable, hardworking and motivated
• Willing to learn and follow instructions
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic

Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 6.00am - 2.30pm (40 hours per week)
