BUTCHERY AND SEAFOOD MANAGER

New World St Martins is a leading provider of fresh food and grocery products, committed to delivering exceptional quality and customer service. This is a rare opportunity to lead one of Christchurch’s flagship stores as our new Butchery and Seafood Manager.

This is a hands-on role including promotional planning, buying, cutting and maintaining high standards of merchandising and presentation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the butchery and seafood departments
  • Maintaining high standards of product presentation and merchandising
  • Upholding all Food Health & Safety requirements
  • Coordinate the butchery and Seafood teams
  • Stock ordering, inventory control, and minimising waste
  • Driving sales while achieving gross profit and wage budgets
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and satisfaction
  • Identifying opportunities to grow and innovate within the department
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships

Qualifications:

  • Butchery qualification with previous supervisor or management role preferred.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
