Butchery 2IC

An exciting opportunity has become available within our supermarket. We are calling for a person who is passionate about Butchery & Customers, who can plan, organise, and control the day-to-day operations of the Butchery Department in the Manager’s absence.  You will need to support the Manager on a day-to-day basis, and help drive the team forward.

This is a fun, busy department with loads of growth & opportunity to hone your butchery skills.

A Qualified butcher is preferred but not essential & supermarket experience would be advantageous.

Key responsibilities/abilities include:

⭐Achievement of key department targets.

⭐Production planning, quality & Cleanliness.

⭐Ensure standards of merchandising are achieved and maintained.

⭐The implementation and overseeing of Department Food Safety requirements.

⭐Effective team leadership & communication.

⭐Computer Literacy - Stock ordering to meet the stores requirements.

⭐Waste control within the Department.

This role is a full-time position, and a keen eye for detail is critical.
