Butchery 2IC

New World Centre City is looking for an experienced and motivated 2IC Butcher to join our Butchery team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled butcher looking to take the next step in their career. Working alongside the Butchery Manager, you'll help lead the department, maintain high standards, and deliver an outstanding shopping experience for our customers.

About the Role

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Support the Butchery Manager with the day-to-day running of the department
• Prepare, cut, trim, and merchandise quality meat products
• Maintain high food safety, health & safety, and hygiene standards
• Assist with ordering, stock control, and minimising wastage
• Lead and support team members when required
• Deliver exceptional customer service

About You

• Qualified butcher or extensive retail butchery experience
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Strong knife skills and product knowledge
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• A positive attitude with the ability to motivate and support others
• Customer-focused and committed to maintaining high standards
