Butcher 2IC Role:

As the Butcher 2IC, your primary role will be to assist in the day-to-day running of the Butchery department, ensuring that maximum range, and sufficient quantity of high-quality fresh meat is available for sale at the correct price at all times during opening hours as well as keeping the department clean, tidy and attractively presented.

Some of the key areas for the role will be:

• Correctly and efficiently delivering high quality meat cuts whilst reducing wastage.
• Assisting in the traying of meat as required.
• Undertaking stocktake, appropriately stocking the cases and freezers with high merchandising standards.
• Assisting in prepping special customer orders.
• Assisting in ensuring all appropriate cleaning takes place in the department.
• Follow Health and Safety Policy, Food Safety Policy and compliance procedures in the store.
• Completing appropriate daily, weekly and monthly food safety traceability forms as required.
  

Here is what we are looking for in the ideal candidate:

• Previous experience as a Butcher/knife hand is a MUST!
• A “can do” attitude
• Physically fit and able to fulfil the requirements of the role
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
• Comply with our food control plan / health and safety program

Butchery Assistant Role:

Providing exceptional customer service is a crucial part of this position. As a Butchery Assistant, you will engage with customers, answer their questions and assist them with their meat selections. Your knowledge and friendliness will help create a welcoming environment and enhance the overall shopping experience.

These are permanent full-time positions.

Butchery 2IC remuneration will be between $29.00 and $32.00 per hour with a guaranteed minimum of 37.5 hours per week.  We are an Immigration Accredited employer.
