Bakery Manager – New World Queenstown

We’re looking for a full-time Bakery Manager to join our fantastic team in the beautiful Queenstown Lakes district of Otago to plan, organize and lead the day-to-day operations of the Bakery department, ensuring top notch quality, range and consistency.

This is an exciting opportunity as we move through an extensive modernization of the store, with retail Bakery set to be the first in flow. There is scope for unique and exciting product range, including donuts, sweet baking and bread baking.

Key responsibilities:

• Ordering and receiving stock, regularly assessing the range to ensure it meets customer needs
• Creating and applying purchasing, marketing and pricing strategies
• Leading, supervising and training team members in the Bakery department
• Ensuring Health & Safety regulations are followed
• Handling the budget for the department
• Providing excellent customer service and advice to customers 

Hours:

Minimum of 40 hours per week, specific days and hours to be discussed at the interview stage.

About you:

NZQF Diploma or at least three years of relevant experience.
