Calling all early risers who would enjoy a busy hands-on position!

We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Baker’s Assistant to join our fantastic Bakery team. If you are looking for a fast paced, hands-on role then this is the job for you! This is a great opportunity to come and work at an outstanding supermarket in an industry with great job security and stability.

The days and hours are: Friday and Sunday 5.00am-1:30pm

We have a great Bakery offer including a wide range of specialty bread and instore made donuts. This role offers a fantastic team and store culture, full training and a commitment to ongoing training and learning. An opportunity for an apprenticeship will be discussed with the successful candidate

Your day to day:

• Packaging and labelling all our Bakery products ready to go out into the store
• Putting finishing touches on sweet products – such as icing biscuits, buns, cakes (full training is provided) 
• Working quickly and efficiently while managing your own workload
• Being part of a team to achieve daily tasks and communicating with the rest of the team
• Having excellent food safety and health and safety processes
• Using initiative to prioritise tasks and plan your day

What we need from you:

• The ability to work quickly and match the pace of the department
• Commitment to the work and a high degree of reliability 
• Flexibility to work extra shifts over and above your core hours from time to time
• Good physical fitness for lifting and operating equipment
• Great presentation skills and attention to detail
