Baker/Apprentice Baker

We are looking for a motivated and reliable person to join our Bakery team at New World Wigram. 

In this role, you’ll help produce high‑quality breads, pastries, and baked goods that meet our customers’ expectations for freshness and taste. 

This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely wants to build their skills and develop a long‑term career in the baking industry.

This is a hands‑on role that involves early starts, teamwork, and a passion for baking.

Days & Hours of work: 

Full time Tuesday to Saturday with early starts. Hours will be discussed during interview process. 

We’re looking for someone who:

• Qualification or experience in baking or food production
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing consistent, high‑quality products
• Reliability, integrity, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and early starts
• Good communication skills and a positive, team‑focused attitude
• Commitment to food safety, health and safety, and hygiene standards
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and take ownership of your work

About you: 

• Passionate about baking with relevant experience or qualifications (preferred not essential) 
• Positive and personable attitude
• Willingness to grow & lean in the role
• Hardworking, reliable & ability to use initiative
• Eager to contribute to team success. 
• Time management and communication skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
