Butchery/Duty Manager - Four Square Hanmer Springs


We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team.  Your primary role is to manage our butchery/seafood offer in store which includes ordering and cutting fresh meat on a daily basis, managing waste and retail margins to ensure gross profit expectations are met.  The butchery role is sole charge with support from one other knife hand in store to cover weekends and time off.  The expectation if that the meat and seafood offer is presented by just the one person each day. 

The other aspect of the role relates to general store work including checkouts, shelf filing, Duty Manager responsibilities.  This person needs to be prepared to work late nights with at least one scheduled per week and weekend work is necessary.

Skills and Qualifications required include:

  • LCQ and Managers Certificate

  • Forklift License and F Endorsement

  • Previous cash handling and lotto training

  • Strong Knife skills or trained butcher

  • Merchandising and ordering

  • Food Preparation and Food Safety

This is a very varied role for a diversely skilled individual.
